The tree on the right just gets fuller and pinker by the day. We planted it where our old barn went down over 20 years ago.
The family sits down for Easter dinner. Ham, potatoes, fruit salad, rolls, three kinds of pickles.
I went a little overboard on the ham. I want that ham bone for soup!
Hank peeled one of the eggs that I had dyed with straight food coloring, no water or vinegar, and found that a lot of color had permeated the shell. So I had fun this morning peeling the rest for deviled eggs.
The neon green ones weren't so appetizing.
I always have eggs with a little dye inside but these were intense.
ZipLoc is my friend.
I needed a few colored eggs for Easter dinner tomorrow.
I saw this idea on line. You squirt straight food coloring into a baggie and drop in the egg.
Work the egg around in the bag from the outside and pull it out with a square of paper towel. Wipe dry
That was quick and no mess to clean up.
It really worked. I should have spread a thin coat of oil on the prep sheet. I didn't wait four hours partly because there was a big old bumblebee in my kitchen.
