Life on a farm in rural southwest Washington.

Ocean in View

Linda Nelson

Our friend Kyle lives at Pillar Rock on the Columbia River. We took a ride out there this morning and I took these pictures. This is where Lewis and Clark first viewed the Pacific Ocean.

Kyle is a hunter. Lewis and Clark would have appreciated some fresh elk roasts. The area is pretty much the same as what L&C saw. The town of Astoria, Oregon was established not long after.

Grandma Chair

Linda Nelson

This old chair had put in many years in my living room and rocked three babies to sleep. It was about to be donated to the Goodwill, when one of my granddaughters claimed it. Now it has a new home in her bedroom, much to the delight of her dog, Lucky.  My son-in-law, Ed took this nice instagram of Lucky and the chair.

Lucky was born in Thailand and lives in Rosburg, Washington. "Lucky" is an assumed name, his old name, ChooChoo, had bad Karma. Learn more about Lucky Hunt and his amazing adventures @Lucky Hunt on facebook. http://facebook.com/lucky.hunt1

Annie Oakley

Linda Nelson

This picture of Lindsay with her new BB gun reminds me of Annie Oakley.

My favorite musical is Annie Get Your Gun.

The usually glamorous Betty Hutton gets dirty for this scene.

Costumes

Linda Nelson

This morning I'm making ballet costumes, which is really creative and fun.

Supplies include pieces of fabric, ribbon, thread, seam rippers, and hard candy.

This is for Snow White's wicked queen. The first scissor cut is the hardest. Nothing is cut or sewn yet.
